Should India Celebrate the Commonwealth Games Success?

"The Commonwealth Games is an international, multi-sport event involving athletes from the Commonwealth of Nations." - Wikipedia.

Here, the Commonwealth of Nations refers to all the countries that were ruled by the Britishers. There are 54 members in the Commonwealth of Nations, out of which only 3 were not under the British Empire.

In short, the Commonwealth Games are a symbol of the rule of the British over India. Still, we happily participate in the games. People give many reasons why India should actively take part in the games or why these games are important for the people of this country. But, I beg to differ. Following are the reason why I think India should boycott the Commonwealth Games.

The reason behind this blog.

India is one of the fastest growing countries at this moment. The share market, the inflation rate, the economy, the population are all growing at a really fast rate. India is changing rapidly. It is getting better and better if you are a middle class or a high class citizen. However, all's not good for the poor people. 1/4 th of the population of India is hungry. And still, many tons of wheat is left in the open to spoil. Forget about Government taking any action to avoid this. They don't even pay any heed to the orders of the Supreme court to distribute the surplus food to the poor. Though people are being crushed under increasing prices and taxes, MPs take home 45 lakh an year. There are many other things that disturb me. Here are a few of them.
